Straddie Adventures has
many years of experience in running activities for school
camps on beautiful North
Stradbroke Island. We specialise in Sea
Kayaking, Sandboarding
and Snorkelling.
We cater for any size
group and tailor activities to suit your requirements, budget
and schedule. Our emphasis is safety, education, team building,
combined with lots of fun.
“Straddie” has kilometres of sandy
ocean beaches on it's east, the tranquil waters of Moreton
Bay on its west and includes one of the world’s most
ecologically important wetlands.
Sea Kayaking
We offer a variety of kayaking experiences – ocean, bay,
freshwater and mangroves. Our two-person kayaks are very stable
- the kind you sit on, not in. There are several destinations
to choose from.
Wildlife
Humpback whales pass by on their annual migration.
Manta Rays visit every summer. All year round you can see
dolphins, turtles, wallabies, goannas and much more.
History
The island has a fascinating history and many significant
Aboriginal sites. All this is within an hour of both Brisbane
and the Gold Coast.
